Strategy For Excess Material Reduction in Product Development

It is currently necessary for cleanroom consumables to be packaged in plastic to limit contamination. This is often combined with double bagging which produces a large amount of waste plastic. While Product Development are constantly evaluating innovative solutions to reduce our plastic packaging, this unfortunately means that plastic is the best-known material at this present time, of which will maintain the most sterility. However, this does mean that we have a responsibility to try to reduce any excess material wastage where possible to benefit a wide range of issues (some of which I have explained below).
