The Continuous Improvement (CI) team are proud to be part of the Creativity Support Group (CSG) within Micronclean.

The CSG inspire and support creativity processes throughout the company by raising awareness, facilitating sessions, and teaching others skills and tools so they can independently lead creativity. There are multiple techniques and methods that can be used within a session ranging from ice breakers, idea development and skills generation.

One ice breaker technique used is the Lego bridge method, in which teams are created and tasked to make a type of bridge out of Lego within a certain amount of time, this bridge will have requirements that will then be presented and tested in front of the other teams to find the overall winner and is a great way to open up the participants minds and foster a collaborative atmosphere.

We recently approached the Micronclean Commercial team to offer support and arrange a creativity session with a particular focus in highlighting their particular areas of concern. During our creativity session, once each team had hammered out their main pain points, for which we then used the Disney method to enable them to dream about the ideal scenario in solving those pain points. The next step was to refine that scenario down to a more realistic level to see if this could be achieved and critique their final solution.

The overall outcome of that CSG session was that we are now working on a standardised training package for all new Business Development Managers to support them from when they start their Micronclean journey.
