Micronclean Summer Schools: Dani
Blog25.08.2022Over the summer of 2022, Micronclean has employed 6 students studying from GCSE to Undergraduate level as part of its first summer school initiative.
Each of the selected students was given a project that was related to the subjects they are studying and not only helped Micronclean but allowed the student to develop their skills and knowledge in the workplace.
We think that our first summer school has been a real success and has brought benefits to both the business and the students themselves. However, it is perhaps easier to judge this from the words of the student themselves.

My project involved assessing Micronclean’s company image with regards to recruitment – something which I have done through the creation of a questionnaire. My questionnaire aims to quiz the local population so that we can find out how much knowledge they already have about Micronclean, and how this may affect their decision to either apply for, or disregard, employment at Micronclean. This is being done with the aim to help Micronclean develop their company image to increase recruitment.
Throughout my placement, I have been supported by Learning and Development Officer, Nyle Chapman. I believe that this placement has allowed me to improve my communication skills and has allowed me to receive a valuable insight as to what it is like to work in an office – something which I am very thankful for.
Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Micronclean and am very pleased that I applied.
"As a result of feedback from the students, the departments and staff involved we hope to hold another summer school next year." - Robert Parker, Micronclean MD
