The IT team are a customer-centric "Team of Experts" who strive to balance being excellent today and driving innovation for tomorrow.

Our team are vital enablers of change at Micronclean. We aim to use our aptitude, agility, creative freedom, and controlled experimentation to achieve market-leading innovation and impactful change for our customers.

Continuous Improvement

We are passionate about continuous improvement: the structured and systematic approach to improving the services, applications, and other processes we provide through incremental improvements of critical areas. This attention to quality allows us to provide the best service. This approach means we can swing the balance of work from being "reactive" to "proactive", shifting focus from maintenance to improving the customer experience.

Our Software

Protrack

Protrack is our in-house software system primarily used to create and collect data about our garments. It has been developed and designed to use a variety of inputs, such as barcode scanners that can read garment barcode tags or RFID transponder readers that can read chips sewn into our garments along with webknot bags using HF radio signals. This functionality allows us to gather vast knowledge on our garments, their processes, and much more.

Protrack is a constantly evolving tool that continues to change how Micronclean operates and enriches the levels of service we deliver to our customers.

Some examples of what Protrack allows us to do:

  • Scan garments through the whole process, from being sent in by the customer to their return trip to our customers' sites
  • Track validated repairs made to any garment
  • Efficient garment installations
  • Efficient garment audits
  • Generate tailored customer reports which can be emailed directly to the customer

Protrack has now made its international debut, launching for Micronclean India PVT Ltd, beginning operation in 2022. It has been jam-packed full of improvements, some of which have been such a success that they will come full circle back into our UK package.

Micronclean Portals

To improve the reach and accessibility of our services for our customers, we have been developing a suite of portals that combine in-house tools, efficiencies, and active services to be enjoyed by Micronclean customers at the click of a mouse.

Garment Portal

The garment portal provides our garment customers unprecedented access to data and information about their garment accounts. For ease of use, the system includes advanced data filtering, sortation, summarisation and export capabilities that allow customers to quickly answer targeted questions about their garment accounts and make sound, data-driven decisions. Some questions this system will enable customers to respond to are:

  • What garments do I currently have?
  • Which garments have/have not been washed recently?
  • When was the last time Joe Bloggs sent his garments in for wash?
  • How many times has this garment been washed, and when did those washes take place?
  • What repairs has this garment had, and what did they cost?
  • What garments do I have on order?
  • What's the current residual value of my contracts?
  • What invoices do I have outstanding, and what's their value?
  • What invoices have Micronclean sent me over the life of my contract?

The garment portal now comes with a new dashboard and hugely improved reporting functionality giving our customers instant access to customisable datasets relating to their accounts.

On-Site Garment Scanning

Expanding on the functionality of Protrack, our garment scanning portal allows our customers to directly query information such as the usage and repair history of a garment by scanning it. Combined with our hardware package, it offers instant answers to real-world customer queries or issues.

Customers can also use the portal to increase the transparency of the movement of their garments. The portal provides functionality so that garments can be scanned into and out of their sites.

OFI Portal

Our OFI (Opportunity for Improvement) Portal is a tool aimed at improving the quality of experience for our customers. The system allows Micronclean staff and customers alike to submit opportunities for improvement. Built into its core is a structured problem-solving process to ensure that we quickly get to the real root of problems. From there, we can continuously assign corrective and preventative actions to improve our products and services.

Product Specification Portal

The latest addition to our portals is an internal portal offering centralised specification data for Micronclean's range of products, allowing Micronclean to provide quick solutions to our customers.
